First Week at School

On the first day of school I walked through the gates and saw many of my friends and teachers. I was really excited and looking forward to seeing what classroom I was in and what teacher I had. Waiting with excitement I heard my name been called out I was glad that I was in a class with some of my old friends. My teacher was Miss King.

On the next day it was different because we had way more fun stuff to do like movies and music. The movie was about accomplishing our achievements and practising on what we need to learn. I think the first week was cool because we made lots of movies and posted writings on our blogs.

Lollipop Moments

Today we watched a short video that was about “Lollipop Moments”. The movie was telling us what leaders are and what they do. Lollipop moments are when someone changes something about your life. The main message behind this story is to tell you that a leader is a helpful person that changes something about your life even though its a little thing. I could help create lollipop moments by being a good leader and doing something good for my family and friends even if its a small thing.

2012 Prize Giving

Last night we had our school prize giving. As we finished school I went home and got ready for prize giving that started at 6:30. As I arrived I looked if any of my friends were there and I saw Lorenzo. When it was 6:30 we lined up in our year group and walked in the hall. As we came into the hall I saw lots of parents and people sitting down. When we sat down Osana and Tui said a prayer. Once the prayer was finished we all sang the National Anthem. The first awards were for the year 5’s. After the year 5’s prize giving was finished it was time for their item.  There item was awesome and different to our’s.

In the middle it was getting hot and stuffy. The second team to go up was the year 6’s. There were lots of sports and other awards that were awarded. Finally it was finished and the item was starting. It was cool and creative I think they had the best item so far. After the item finished it was the year 7’s turn. When the year 7’s went on we cheered them on as they got their prize.
When they went off the stage Mr Burt said it was time for the year 7 item so we got up and made our way to the stage. The girls were on first so the boys had to stay in the wings. When the girls finished it was our turn to go up I was nervous and I had butterflies in my stomach.

When we finished our dance the girls came back on and we did a group dance together that we had practised. Finally our dance finished and it was time for the year 8’s . The year 8’s got the most awards for prize giving. Finally Mr Burt handed out the last awards and it was time for the year 8’s item. There first song was a christmas carol it was cool and different from everyone else’s items.  As the year 8’s finished we turned to the parents and we sang our school song (We will Strive to Succeed).

Future Career

My Future career is to be a NRL player because I watch it a lot on TV. NRL is a sport that is played all around New Zealand and Australia.The sport contains tackling running and foot work. My favourite team I want to play for is the North Queensland Cowboys because they are sometimes in the top 4 on the NRL ladder. My favourite player is Matthew Bowen because hes fast and a good tackler. My Best position I want to play is Fullback because every relies on you to save the tries. My favourite state of origin team that I would want to play for is New South Wales (N.S.W).

Netbook Reflection 2012

I think this year with netbooks was better than last year because it was exciting to work with them and learn from them. I think the year went awesome using netbooks because it was a lot easier to use netbooks instead of using pen and paper. The internet connection was a bit slower than last year because the wireless was a bit laggy and was playing up i had to keep turning my netbook off and on until it connects.

My netbook has been way better learning for me because i can search for things on the internet and do online work.It is way faster and also way better.
