Netbook Reflection
My Netbook Reflections
This year I have really liked having my own netbook because I get more things done
than on my book.I also can type faster than writing.What I also like about
my netbook is that I can search the web for things like what is my weight on the moon.
I like having a netbook because it helps me with my learning and I'm so lucky that I get to
use this device during school hours.
The things I don’t like about my netbook is the net work problem.The net work problem
makes my computer not function properly.My other thing is that when I press a letter
it appears in 5 seconds.
My most definitely best thing about my netbook is that we can edit our blog posters any time
instead of waiting for a turn on the Imac’s.My other opinion is that when we make mistakes
we can tidy it from a press of a button.What I also like is that when I write on my netbook
I don’t need to go and ask people for a pencil.
Furthermore having a Netbook has meant that I can search things on the net more faster.
I also can get my google presentation done,and also can write interesting stories.My
maths whizz has been teaching lots of strategies and my study ladder has made my maths typing
more faster.
My biggest challenge having a netbook was charging it every night.Definitely my other biggest
challenge was trying to get my work finished.

Camp Bentzon 2011
CAMP BENTZON 2011 !!!
Intro:Camp Bentzon... have you been there in your life wow I’ll give you a guess camp Bentzon is a cool place to be it has lots of things you can do like con course,abseiling
Burma trail,kayaking,sailing,orienteering,rafts,bivouacs,40FT,bush baseball,Grid Iron,
Fitness trail,bush walk,spotlight,watch a movie
P1)The first thing we did is that we took the bus all the way up to Sand spit. When we got to Sand spit we loaded our luggage onto the ferry. When we were on the ferry the boys got up and did the HAKA.As we got to Kawau island the first thing we did is that Mr J took us for a bush walk up the hills and thought bushes.As we were walking we got onto the other side
of the island.When we were on the other side we had some free time when we were having
free time Mr Barks and Mr Somervile had a challenge who could hit the buoy first.Mr
Barks was the winner.
P2)When we got back from our bush walk we were aloud to have free time.After our free time Ms Garden told us that we were playing spotlight against the teachers and parents.As we were playing spotlight I hid were Kingston and Samuela was.When we were hiding Samuela stood up and got caught from Mr Mansion. I was a bit lucky because I ditched them and made it back home.
P3)On the last day it was fun and enjoyable because we played sports like bush baseball
,grid iron,swimming,volley ball.My hardest activity was bush baseball we lost to Katz A.
After that we loaded our stuff onto the ferry.When we were on the ferry we saw this big Mansion. When we got to Sand spit we traveled back to Auckland.
Con)My highlight of camp was doing lots of activities and having fun.My other highlight was playing spotlight and doing kayaking.

Melbourne Storms VS Warriors
“WOW” Did you ever thought that the Warriors would make it to the Grand Finals. I’ll give you a guess, on Saturday night the New Zealand Vodafone Warriors came face to face against Melbourne Storms at AMI stadium in Melbourne. The Vodafone Warriors had to win the game by using great defence. The Warriors kicked off, on the 20th minute the first team to score a try was the Melbourne storms second row Sika Manu. By half time the scores were 14 - 12. The game was close and with 10 minutes left the Warriors half back Sean Johnson passed
the ball out wide to the center Lewis Brown try just before full game which made the Warriors in the lead. At full time the scores were 20 -12. Next week the Warriors are coming face to face against the Manly Sea Eagles at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

Inderpendence writing
What I need to improve on is my writing and reading.To improve on
writing I need to focus and write one paragraph at home.To improve
my reading I need to read 2-3 books a day.What I look forwards to
next time is to complete my goals and to focus on school work.
To achieve writing I have to use interesting aspects to make
my sentences in my writing stand out.Another goal is to try and read
decimals and fractions and try to read the numbers that come first
and what come before.
This term room 18 is learning lots of facts behind the flag.
Our theme that we are learning about is the rugby world cup.
The fun things we get to do as a class is that we learn lots of facts and
we get to cook the countries food.The facts that we are learning about now is
about the USA.

Saturday's game against Pakuranga

and what was the score.
Did you know that Tamaki under 11’s overs had a game against Pakuranga
lions.As we were there our game got shift forwards.As the game got started
Pakuranga kicked off.When they kicked off our team rushed for the ball
and ran.The other team was quite difficult.The other team was the first to
score a try.When we went back on the field we kept our defense line hard.
After that Ahsin scored our first try.When it was half time the score was
three one. As we went on the field half of our team were puffed out.The
other team was winning by three tries.But we never gave up we chased
there post to post. At the end the score was four to one After that we
did our cheer then we shook the opposition team.It was a difficult game
but everyone had fun.

Juicy fruit
Room 18 made juice this term. I used pears and apples to make my juice. First we cut up the fruit and then put it through the juicer. The juice tasted really nice, it was sweet and fresh. This movie shows part of the juicing process.

Going to Simmarrama
On Wednesday year 5 to year 8 students went to Swimarama in Panmure.When we got to swimarama we had something to eat some people from groups went and had a swimming race.As soon the race started everybody was cheering.When everybody was cheering i was so desprate to jump into the pool because it was so hot.As soon it was my friends race i cheered for them.When all the race were finished we went for a swim.when i went i ran an jumped off the edge of the pool
and did a bomb.When i did a bomb i got a growling from the life gaurdAs soon as i came out of the pooli went and played cricket with Studermyer and Jesiah.When we were playing i bated the ball over the gate.After playing cricket i played rugby with Kane and Gaberial.after that i went by the gate and watched the year7 and8 bomb off the diving board.After that we went to the bus and then we went back to school.
